WHEREAS, the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, or Republic Act No. 10625, states that the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) shall be primarily responsible for all national censuses and surveys, including sectoral statistics, consolidation of administrative recording systems, and compilation of national accounts;

WHEREAS, the Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) aim to present a comprehensive picture of the provincial economies by providing a more appropriate measure and assessment of a province’s economic performance and will serve as an important tool in economic planning and policy formulation at the subregional levels to supplement the gross domestic product at the national and regional levels;

WHEREAS, in 2021, the PSA MIMAROPA started to compile the PPA;

WHEREAS, in 2023, PSA will prepare estimates of the 2020 to 2022 economic performance of the provinces and the highly urbanized city in the region;

WHEREAS, in line with the estimation of the PPA, administrative data will also be collected from the government agencies including the local government units;

NOW, THEREFORE, ON A MOTION DULY SECONDED, be it

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, That the RSC MIMAROPA request support from the local government units, regional line agencies, and other stakeholders in MIMAROPA for the generation of the 2020 to 2022 Provincial Product Accounts in the region.

RESOLVED FINALLY, That all agencies concerned be copied of this resolution for information and support.

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.
