WHEREAS, Presidential Proclamation No. 647 declares the month of October of every year as the National Statistics Month ;

WHEREAS, the annual celebration of the NSM aimed to: (a) promote, enhance, and instill awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of society; and (b) elicit the
cooperation and support of the general publi c in upgrading the quality and standards of statistics in the country;

WHEREAS, the theme for the 35th NSM is “Advancing Data and Statistics through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation”;

WHEREAS, the Regional Statistics Committee being the highest policymaking body on statistical matters in the region has been designated as the coordinating body for al l NSM activities in the region;

WHEREAS, in preparation for the celebration, a letter requesting for the calendar of activities was sent to regional line agencies (RLAs), local government units, and academe on June 24, 2024;

WHEREAS, the Secretariat consolidated the activities submitted by RLAs and members of the academe for the 35th NSM calendar of activities (Annex 1 – attached and shall form part of this resolution);

NOW, THEREFORE, ON A MOTION DULY SECONDED, be it

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that RSC MIMAROPA approves and adopts the 35th National Statistics Month calendar of activities;

RESOLVED FINALLY, That copies of this resolution be furnished to all members and concerned agencies;

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.
