PSA Oriental Mindoro joins Serbisyong TAMA Program para sa Barangay

16 July 2024 – CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO. The Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Philippine Statistics Authority – Oriental Mindoro joined the City Government of Calapan’s Serbisyong TAMA Program para sa Barangay on July 16, 2024 at Biga Elementary School barangay Biga, Calapan City. Different agencies from the Local and National Government participated to the program to bring their services to the participants.

As one of the participating agencies, PSO Oriental Mindoro brought the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) to the barangay. The main objective of BRAP is to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices and that they will be enrolled with the PhilSys National Identification System, likewise to increase the level of civil registration especially in the marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous People, Muslim Filipinos and the poorest sector in the country and ensuring that they have their PhilIDs issued which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identity.
