11 February 2025 – PUERTO PRINCESA CITY. In connection with the celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Palawan facilitated a comprehensive training and quiz bee for Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) staff on 03 February 2025.

Registration Officer II Romelita F. Hernandez served as the trainer to discuss the basic concepts and laws related to civil registration which are the Presidential Decree (PD) 1083, Republic Act (RA) No. 8371, RA 11222, Act No. 3753, RA 9255, RA 9858, PD 856, RA 9523, Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 2021-01, and Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2024-17A during the morning session.

The afternoon session featured the Provincial Elimination Quiz Bee. It was participated by a total of 17 individuals from the LCRO’s of Aborlan, Agutaya, Balabac, Bataraza, Brooke's Point, Busuanga, Coron, Cuyo, Dumaran, Magsaysay, Narra, Quezon, Roxas, San Vicente, Taytay, Culion, and Rizal.

The top three performers were Ms. Marianne S. Palay, Assistant Municipal Civil Registrar of LCRO-Taytay, followed by Ms. Jennifer B. Mendoza, Registration Officer II of LCRO-Quezon, and Ms. Kryztle Ann D. Docejo, Assistant Registration Officer of LCRO-Aborlan. They will represent Palawan in the 5th National CRVS Quiz Bee for LCRO's Regional Elimination to be held at PSA MIMAROPA Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro on 21 February 2025.

The activities conducted are part of the series of events prepared by the PSA Palawan for the month-long celebration of the 35th Civil Registration Month.
