07 August 2025, Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Occidental Mindoro Provincial Statistical Office is making National ID registration more accessible to senior citizens through a dedicated registration initiative. This initiative aims to positively impact the senior citizen community in the province by helping them secure their National IDs.

On August 7, 2025, 107-year-old Felix P. Latombo from Barangay Gapasan in the municipality of Magsaysay was successfully enrolled in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), also known as the National ID (NID) System.

Recognizing the challenges faced by elderly individuals, especially those with mobility concerns, PSA teams continuously conduct on-site and house-to-house registration in coordination with local government units and barangay officials. This effort ensures inclusive identification services, enabling seniors to gain easier access to vital government benefits.
