12 March 2025 – BATARAZA, PALAWAN. In a collaborative effort to provide accessible identification services, the Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Palawan, in partnership with the Barangay Rio Tuba Local Government Unit (LGU) and the Municipal Civil Registry Office (MCRO) of Bataraza, facilitated National ID registration and the issuance of Return to Sender (RTS) National IDs during Barangay Rio Tuba’s 76th Founding Anniversary from March 5 to 8, 2025.

This initiative was spearheaded by PSA Palawan under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge/Supervising Statistical Specialist Donna Marie D. Mobe and Registration Officer II Romelita F. Hernandez, alongside Punong Barangay Arman T. Gamo and Municipal Civil Registrar (MCR) Fe Amy F. Corpuz. Their combined efforts ensured that essential civil registration services reached the community efficiently.

Over the four-day event, 656 individuals successfully registered for the National ID, completing the verification of demographic details and the capture of biometric data, including photographs, fingerprints, and iris scans. Each applicant received a transaction slip, allowing them to track their National ID status.

PSA Palawan also provided additional civil registration services, including the issuance of Security Paper (SECPA) copies of birth and marriage certificates. Furthermore, 65 RTS National IDs were distributed to residents whose IDs were previously returned due to address issues or the recipient’s absence, ensuring that rightful owners could claim them with ease.

PSA Palawan continues to encourage unregistered individuals to complete their National ID registration and take advantage of the essential services offered, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive and efficient identity documentation.
